She says that she's a doctor and her other doctor friends also suggested that my brother did some deadhangs to grow taller and prescribed some bullshit multivitamin which is almost the same price as hgh lol

They just have boundaries they need to acknowledge, and they are not free to act entirely independently.
That is the issue. Medicine is strongly dependent on industry and financial incentives, and for a truly ethical approach, it would need to operate independently of those interests. Of course, that is extremely unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Surgeons are good however

Yes, I agree with the last one, but as someone who has a few doctors in his family (although they are retired by now), I think it has much more to do with them being restricted.
They know a lot and would be able to explore far more options if guidelines allowed them to. They ultimately carry the responsibility, so they have to go by the guidelines or become vulnerable.

Obviously, pharma also does have influence in parts of academia and medical education. The things doctors are taught are obviously very valuable, especially for acute and life-threatening conditions, but much less so when it comes to chronic diseases and most of the multi-system-diseases or other complex issues we face in modern society, who are almost exclusively treated by superficial means aka. treating the symptoms. Makes sense, you can't profit off healthy patients.
