After talking with doctor and dermatologist we decide that I will start taking Finasteride 1mg for hairloss since it's clear that I'm norwooding.

I have already lost some ground in the temple region placing me at about 1.5/2 on the Norwood scale.

I stopped coping and am fully committed to taking these medications, but since I don't only want to stop the recession and also want to regain some ground I was thinking in taking dutastaride first, since it has been proven to have better regrowth potential.

Particularly I wanted to take 2/2.5mg of dutastaride (more than the 0.5mg recommended dose) to absolute nuke DHT while also taking the prescribed 1mg fin, and then slowly stop taking dut while making lifelong commitment to fin.

Any thoughts on this or it's pure madness or nonsense??

Dude don't nuke your hormones for a CHANCE to regrow a tiny bit of hair

That might be the only way, but what creates the most fear is potential side effects of dut on long term even if used for short period like I plan to do.

Fear mongering on fin has been surpassed, but with dut we can't feel the same...

If anything, why not just commit to dutasteride instead of using finasteride? Anyway, by doing that I can guarantee there won't be a single shred of DHT running through your blood.
