I recently stumbled upon the MAD appliance (mandibular advancement device). This is also sold as a sleep apnea mouth guard for very cheap:

1766677758958
Screenshot 20251225 174557

Worn during sleep the appliance locks the mandible forward keeping the condyle away from seated position and forcing it to take vertical load which increases ramus height.

The posterior bite height sends force through the molars and premolars promoting vertical growth at the back of the jaw.

Because the back grows upward more than the front, the mandibular body rotates counter clockwise, pushing the chin up and forward.

Can be found as cheap as 5$ on Ali express

Holds jaw forward, pressure on back teeth for ramus to grow. The forward force guides the mandible to ccw

This is nonsense.

Clenching your teeth and holding your jaws in a set place for a night is not going to result in ANY skeletal bone growth.

If anything you will end up with dental changes which will be undesirable anyway. Sounds like a tmj nightmare as well.

Also there is ZERO bone growth after your plates are fused. I thought we knew this with all the mewing debunking.

What the fuck are you talking about, this is not theoretical it's a cheap alternative to a twin block and I think I made it clear in the title when I said "of existing growth". The mandible grows till 20 on average in men btw it's not a long bone with a growth plate.

You just don't understand orthodontics

I provided my arguements in the thread yours was " clenching your teeth and holding your jaw forward won't grow bone" meanwhile appliances like herbst are used for this exact reason in orthodontics

You must be actually retarded. Impressive.

Herbst is mostly used in growing teens. And even then, the results are MOSTLY dental. Any bone remodeling needs can only take place of he is in the right age.

If your 5$ appliance or Herbst was to cause ANY skeletal CCW rotation in adults, jaw surgeries wouldn't be a thing.

A herbst can work as long as the jaw still grows, the bone is just more resistant so results are diminished but still there. And no the results in teens aren't mostly dental dumbass.

I'm also not saying this shit will give you 15°-25° ccw like surgery does but it can give you 5°. Stop wasting my time if you have no clue how it works and go on with your LTN life

“No differences in maxilla, condyle, glenoid fossa, and most mandibular changes were found… Herbst moved the lower molars more mesially.”

Study linked proving that MOST changes using a HERBST appliance are dental.

Jfl bro thought you get more skeletal changes in your jaw using a metal appliance that is anchored primarily to your teeth :pepeLaughing:

You must be dropped on your head as a kid? Developmental flaw. Happens.

:lul::lul::lul::lul::lul::lul::lul::lul::forcedsmile:

Nigga thinks you get a 15-25% change with most jaw surgeries :lul::lul::lul::lul:

Are you genuinely incapable of understanding stuff? Or are you just uneducated on the topic?

A 5% change in CCW rotation will make a MASSIVE change in how your gonial angle is perceived.

This shit doesnt work like a math problem where you just rotate your jaw by a cool looking large number and think you will look good. :feelskek::feelskek:

Ay bro I think you forgot to edit something out :lul:

Screenshot 20251225 2019352

and this is proof you didn't even read the whole case study

"most mandibular changes were found between Herbst and Class II elastics; except for a greater 1.5 mm increase in mandibular length and right mandibular ramus height (1.6 mm) with Herbst."

3mm mandibular skeletal growth

"Apart from an additional mandibular length increase; no other dental and anteroposterior skeletal difference was found"

How the fuck is this mostly dental when the results were +3mm skeletal growth and just closing the dental gap between molars :feelskek:

Good to know I still look decent with my deepbite but still gonna invest you got any links?
Only €10 or less so doesn’t even matter if it doesn’t work
I was also skeptical but after you caught that guy out willing to try it

What an iqlet retard.

Do you think I'm going to search up a study when I can just use chatgpt for it? Of course I am going to.

And you never addressed my main argument. Which is that skeletal growth only happens for GROWING kids. Your 19 year old ass is NEVER going to get anything significant out of this shitty 5$ you shipped from the slums of Shanghai.

The overall total mandibular length changes were 2.22 mm (1.63 to 2.82) for pubertal subjects … whereas for post-pubertal patients it was 0.44 mm (−0.78 to 1.66), indicating a significantly greater effect in pubertal patients compared to post-pubertal ones

Here is another study, AGAIN SOURCED USING GPT. Cry about it.

Good looking getting 3mm using this appliance lil bro :lul:

Surgery is for retards actually. How dumb must people be to get surgery to fix their dental flaws man. Just spend 5$ and get 3mm advancement and a 5% CW rotation. It's all so simple. :pepeLaughing:

"Ramus will increase bro "" :lul:
forcing it to take vertical load which increases ramus height
Genuinely what were you thinking when you typed this? :feelskek:

It's fine man, just buy it and you can ascend to chad while all the other losers cope with paying a lot of money for jaw surgeries like retards :lul::02Pat:

Sorry if this is a dumb comment but would this just give you and underbite? Idk if im reading this correct but ur saying the upper jaw doesnt follow with it? Could this only work if you already have overbite? Am i tripping?

Alt confirmed.

And I am not hating on OP. I couldn't care less about his existence. What i DO hate however is the fact that he is trying to sell you snakeoil cope in hopes of getting a "5% CCW rotation :soy:".

Do you lack comprehension and understanding skills? Do you know how SIGNIFICANT a 5% CCW rotation is?? This dumbass is promising you that level of results by paying for a 5$ product from china.

I don't even know if this thing is going to be custom made for you. Idk about that so I won't comment. But if it isn't, :lul:. You must be one absolute retard to buy a standard product that doesn't fit your teeth measurements without getting a mould of your teeth done in the first place.

Also to you specifically @clashroyaleking nigger, why don't you try mewing, maasai jumps, raw milk, raw liver as well? You should ANYTHING to try to ascend even if it has NO evidence behind it right :feelsuhh:

Exactly, they all have good points that it won’t or couldn’t work but could be someone younger that would benefit.
Even if it doesn’t work €4 is not going to have any impact on your life whatsoever
