Sugar accelerates (brain) aging, and high blood sugar caused dementia is called type 3 diabetes lol.

Here's an example of type 3 diabetes

Why so much conflicting research on sucrose? There def seems to be inflammatory link.
Just go the safe route and consume fructose in form of whole fruits. And supplement aspirin. :Comfy:

fructose gets converted to glucose but I think fructose has a special property of lowering cortisol more than sucrose. Sucrose has been shown to increase metabolic rate however and the basis of civilizations and empires is sugar, caffeine and sometimes tobacco.

For eg. Average American already consumes so much sucrose tho bro. If it was really that good for you, Americans wouldn’t be lowest body temperature/most diseases. But maybe that’s more because of processed oils influence :whatfeels:

Americans see an improvement when they shift to any diet INCLUDING the vegan diet ( which is rubbish) just because what they’re eating is pure trash. So when they say they aren’t eating sugar anymore they have automatically also cut out PUFA and inflammatory starches since what they usually are was Oreo ,fruity loops, corn oil , restaurant meals fast food etc . A control group where someone shifts from eating starch for glucose to sugar for glucose will never be done anymore because the “white poison” lie has been embedded deeply into the nutritional framework. It’s like questioning evolution to a biologist. All we have are those three studies I linked and they paint a completely different picture.

“Based on fewer studies, there was little evidence for significant effects on plasma glucose or insulin. Sucrose substitution for starch up to 25% energy does not appear to have adverse effects on cardiometabolic risk indicators in apparently healthy adults. Furthermore, there is no consistent evidence that restricting sucrose in an isoenergetic diet would affect risk indicators, except perhaps in people with certain preexisting metabolic abnormalities. Larger, high-quality studies, lasting several months and studying a wider range of outcomes, are needed in order to provide evidence on which to base public health initiatives.”
