effect of mt1 on pie/pih?

based on what i know it can contribute to worsening of pie and or pih, but does anyone have any experience of this actually happening?

if this does happen is there any way to mitigate this

i don’t know the mechanism, that’s why i’m asking, i’ve only seen some anecdotes and a quick google search

i’d assume the same way any sun exposure can worsen hyperpigmentation
