I arrived in his office, started explaining my problems with breathing through my nose.
He was visibly upset about something, and cut me off when I was talking and just started checking my nose with his device.
He said that I have a deviated septum, and I would need to go to a septoplasty if I don't want to go the steroids and pills route (Which I told him I do not want to go there)
I asked if it would be possible to fix my breathing issue with a palate expansion, and he started saying that the palate width does not correlate to my problems with nose breathing, that it's the first time he heard something like this, that "ENT doctors have nothing to do with orthodontic doctors"
I genuinely don't know what to do at this point. I just want to breath normally but I want to fix the root cause. A septoplasty would obviously not fix it and I would need to through an expansion. I don't even care about aesthetics that much anymore, but again I'd rather fix the root cause and expanding instead of making the inside of my nose even thinner so I could do the basic action of BREATHING.
