As we all know, recently Chat Control was finally passed. This was not any cut down version like we saw earlier, but rather something the parliament members kept pushing. Most of the parliament members who were against chat control are on vacation which means they needed way less votes to achieve a majority. And they did - Chat Control is now passed and it is exactly the way it was proposed originally with very minor differences.
The passed law would allow the EU to "tell" companies to start scanning your messages "voluntarily". It is still completely unknown to every European as to whether old messages will also be scanned - almost likely they will.
Someone might say "But the government wouldn't do that", oh yes they absolutely would. The EU is already known for corruption and back door deals, there's literally no point to this union. The EU constantly criticized China for mass surveillance... yet now they're doing it too.
What do you think? Is your career fucked? What has your OPSEC been like in the past? Would they be able to, with artificial intelligence, draw lines from your online identity to your real life identity?
