They both are great. Ali beat frazier, foreman, lyle, shavers. Those opponents are WAY better than anyone who marciano or louis beat.

Tyson captured people's imagination. Back in the days, you literally couldn't go for a piss if a Mike Tyson fight started because you would literally miss him knocking out his opponent. People were mesmerized by him, they thought he would never lose. Besides, he was a cultural icon (he still is).

What do you think about Lennox Lewis being the heavyweight GOAT? I thought about this lately and it makes a lot of sense imo:

Has one the best resumes ever (Klitschko, Tyson, Rahman, Tua, Holyfield (twice imo), Briggs, McCall, Mercer, Morrison, Bruno & Ruddock), he beat the best guys in one of the toughest eras (the 90s), beat every man he stepped inside the ring with (unique feet) and till this day he remains the last undisputed HW champion.
Besides he's 6'5 with a 84'' reach weighing 250lbs, his size + Manny Steward boxing style is a nightmare matchup for every contender from any era.

He beat Tyson (not prime Tyson but Lennox was past his prime as well tbh) and I think he'd bully Ali because of the size difference. Only advantage Ali would have over Lewis would be speed.
