As the title says.

I have two options, these are non-surgical.

1) Extraction: this option would correct all orthodontic problems (alignment, midline discrepancy, incisor proclination, bite, etc.)

2) Non-extraction treatment: (braces or Invisalign) would idealize alignment and correct underbite, while maintaining incisor proclination and midline discrepancy.

I don’t want to ruin my face, second ortho says top shouldn’t retract much but u am still worried.

don't get extraction, if its due to overcrowding see if your palate is wide enough first and ask ortho about MSE if so. Braces/Invisalign will always be the better option

never extact your teeth it's literally recession just get braces I have them and didn't affect me in a bad way however if you have an overbite and use bands you will still get recessed but not as bad

This makes sense, I guess I should just do Invisalign then alone? Or maybe ask for braces but no bands? Hard choice between the two lowk.

No matter what I’ll still have a midline discrepancy and a slight flaring of the teeth but obviously way better than what I have now.

well that's just a preference thing, I personally got braces because it's less effort for me and you should talk to your orthodontist about the bands, maybe you don't even need any just like how i didn't

I’m on the same boat as you, I want less effort BUT you can’t eat shit afaik.

Also, why do I hear some people say Invisalign is better for “jaw” and shit if they are essentially the same thing?

not really, first week was living hell couldn't eat any solids for 5 days straight but after you get used to it you can eat anything with the exception of seeds or fruits that are hard that you need to bite into (e.g. apples) because your braces might get stuck in them but you can still cut them up to slices and eat lol
