I’m so fucking sick of being controlled by fear

It literally makes me sick makes my body feel fucking weird

And the only way to truly escape it is to face it, but it prevents you from doing even that

I meditate, I read about psychology and philosophy, I exercise, etc
Be stupid about it.

Think about it, usually stupider people just do things because “why not” and don’t think about it. Thinking too hard about things is gonna make you fear it even more, just do it. Don’t think

Yeah I agree

When I drink alcohol and stop thinking so much is the only time I feel free from it

It’s just almost impossible Ive found to get into the same state of mind while sober
 
i think too much, that before i do something, i always have to think about the outcomes of my actions :forcedsmile: what are the consequences, will the outcomes be positive or negative. everytime i do that i genuinely feel like i’m losing my mind

To combat fear, you need to Love. They are opposite ends of the spectrum

i think too much, that before i do something, i always have to think about the outcomes of my actions :forcedsmile: what are the consequences, will the outcomes be positive or negative. everytime i do that i genuinely feel like i’m losing my mind
It feels like the people who would benefit the most from being low inhib are always the highest inhib, and vice versa

I look at my mind and focus all of it on either my breathing or just pure observing the present moment like the trees or the sky

And anytime any thought enters my head just redirect all my energy to breathing

It’s a lot to get into, but you don’t need to know the specifics
Focus on Love especially the selfless kind where you make sure you get no recognition from others

You’ll come to realise Fear was the absence of Love all along

Those are very good goals. You should focus on the stillness
Your mind is always chattering. Those thoughts are not you. Look at them passing by with no reaction.

Focusing your awareness onto your breath is good for making the mind still

Don’t visualise anything and don’t strain or exert yourself mentally and also don’t look into any abnormal physical locks or unique practices.
All of these are distractions and take you away from stillness

So when you focus too heavily, trying to achieve something, you are being analytical (evaluating), you are actively using your conscious mind. You shouldn’t do this

Another thing is the type of breathing you do. Don’t do any weird or strained breathing techniques.
Simply put, if you’re in a state of fear or anxiousness you are likely breathing from your chest or using the sympathetic system

You need to start the habit of breathing from your diaphragm, accessing the parasympathetic system. Look into how to achieve this until it becomes your baseline

Like I said a few times tho, stay away from any obscure practices outside of what’s been mentioned above

When you are breathing using your diaphragm, you should focus on the inhale and exhale. Place your hand on your stomach, like 2/3 inches below your belly button and “place yourself” there. As if you are observing from that point
When you finally get it, you can remove your hand (it’s just to help put you there)

You have to make this a habit bro.
After you have, you must infuse it with your name of God, and associated positive emotions of Love. If you are Muslim, every inhale “A”, and every exhale “llah”
Bring that Love that is deep within you to the surface of your heart

Make this a habit, let me know how things are going for you in a few weeks time.

All of this should be done effortlessly
