Fever from chewing gum?

I hard gumaxxed for 5 days, chewed it for 3-4 hours a day. On the 6 th day I got head aches and my eyes became hot( literally), on the 7 or 8 the day I got fever, entire body was hot, but tablets from local pharmacy helped me recover within 4 days

Seems like just a really strange coincidence. Maybe not the headaches though.

Only explanation is that your chewing gum was infected or something.
Maybe you stressed yourself so much with all that chewing that your immune system turned off.
