Could someone tell me if Finasteride or dutasteride stop hairline recession. I am NW 2.5 at 17 jfl but I can get a hair transplant in the future. I just need to know if I can take anything that will stop it receding further. I’m black and have a good head shape so losing my hair won’t be suifuel but i’d rather keep it. My hair texture covers up my hairline tho so i am good for now

just use minox at that age:ogre:

I am on oral min because of my nw2 and extreme diffuse thining

results? some people’s brows don’t fill in?

good results, and it grew hair in areas that were completely hairless. now with an eyebrow pen i can have completely dark eyebrows, so i dont regret using it at all, and its virtually cost free since a 60 ml bottle lasted me 8 months. it actually also grew out my eyelashes more. but im greedy, i want very long eyelashes and i want even denser eyebrows. i also have zero body hair naturally and i want my cheek hair to fill out

i used it with 0.1% Tret btw

some people think taking it for head hair is retarded. they'd tell you to put it on your head topically, yet you take it. also, its for facial hair too since im masculine and will run stubble game in the future, and i really dont wanna put ethanol on my face

accutane is a completely different compound to tretnoin albeit derived from Vitamin A too. I wouldnt compare them. Minoxdil is dependent on an enzyme that Tret helps increase in the skin so it improves responsiveness and keep collagen in check

i also use 0.1 but got mad redness from it so haven’t applied it in 3 days or so, it says for under eye area it should be only used 3 times per week but i was applying every night, trying to blend my under eye colour with the rest of my skin tone

doctors say don’t use it under eyes but then a lot of reviews say it helps majorly

dont use it intermittently. try as hard as possible to use it daily. thats the only way for your skin to get accustomed to it. you just have to push through this redness/dryness/flakiness phase

thats because they dont want to be responsible if you get it in your eyes and become blind and because its kinda common for people to have high sensitivity in the undereye region. if you tolerate it, theres no reason why you cant put it on lower eyelids. its just thinner skin. if anything that area would benefit from a thicker dermis/epidermis, which retin A does

dermatologist said its okay to put it under your eyes. i have been for like a year now

what’s your routine?

i rock stubble so i don’t put it anywhere else on my face besides under eyes, i feel like it wouldn’t work into the skin with facial hair

i wake up, apply vitamin C serum then sunscreen

after the sun goes down, I cleanse, apply retin A and then moisturize

it depends how thick your stubble is. from what i remember, yeah its pretty thick, but there are areas with no hair that would allow in some product. definitely start using it there too, sagging jowls is a hallmark of facial aging

how long do you wait until you apply moisturiser? i seen people literally mix it with moisturiser then apply 😂

i have a cream form of stieva 0.5% and gel form tret 0.1% should i use the weaker form for under eyes?

never mix any creams together. they're formulated in specific ways with different transporters, emollients, chelatents, emulsifiers, solvents, surfactants etc to penetrate/have a certain effect on the skin and provide a suitable PH environment for the active ingredient to work. for example, never mix your sunscreen with another sunscreen, vitamin C serum with moisturizer, different moisturizers together etc

if your undereyes are having a bad reaction yeah start with that. if theyre not, just keep using 0.1%

when you should moisturize isnt important. you can moisturize before applying retinA if your skin is super dry or having a bad reaction. you can wait 20 minutes then moisturize. it doesnt matter tbh

also is 15 minutes enough for tret to absorb or wait at least 30?

No. just never mix any products together. theyre just not designed to be mixed with other products. espeically not vitamin C as it has a low PH. you apply it first, wait like 10 minutes then apply sunscreen

there are a bunch out there, but a decent brand for a reasonable price is Timeless Vitamin C serum with Freulic and vitamin E. store it in the fridge to prolong its lifespan

no prob bro

I do too. theyre good, affordable too for the average plebian (fancy rich soccer mom moisturizers can get RIDICILOUSLY expensive). their cleanser has Niacinimide and has gentle surfactant/cleansing agents. also both moisturizer and cleanser have ceramides (good for skin moisture)

min won't help you with the balding it will only regrow hairs, but the dht (what causes hair loss) is still genociding your hair so you need min but an anti dht as well like finnasteride

then do it
