I was doing a deep dive into skin whitening. And went on a deep rabbit-hole of how some people achieved the desired results of actually permanently altering their skin color.
Unfortunately to my knowledge from the research no one permanently altered their skin color significantly.
Current Mainstream Skincare what is cope and what is not:
- Though some people have achieved mild skin lightening effects temporarily using Hydroquinone and Mequinol.
- Monobenzone has permanent effects but causes oxidative stress on the body causing permanent discoloration affecting other cells. Making anyone taking it look unnaturally discolored.
- Kojic acid seems to have a negligible effects in skin lightening probably cope
- Vitamin C is cope
- Glutathione IV causes temporary results though not nearly as effective as Hydroquinone and mequinol delitirious health effects because of the doses required
(Glutathione injections are great for mitigating oxidative stress on the body and is the best compound for a hangover)
- Lasers Not going into detail about pico/q-switched/fractional lasers they are effective but highly depend on the provider used and they require many sessions and spf as well as retinol serums.
Though all of these mainstream compounds are truly effective I had to dig in deeper:
The only people who have truly achieved a full transformation are people with universal vitiligo which is defined as 80% of the skin surface are or more. Notable examples are Micheal Jackson.
But then I came across this article:
thesun.co.uk/fabulous/19167836/my-skin-turned-from-brown-to-white-rare-condition/
This article got me ROFL and caging because her Indian parents tried to cure her vitiligo but in the end she ended up mogging her entire family by becoming white.
From the article describing her experience after becoming white:
Another example of an Indian turning white:
SMV increases in both cases are significant.
Anyways I have done some research on the ability to induce Vitiligo and found this peculiar product sold in Japan Kanebo Balanchir for skin lightening. This product was effective but unfortunately for them it was too effective the people who used the skincare product had permanent patches of white skin. This skin care product effectively caused vitiligo. Subsequently it was recalled and they had to pay damages for 18,000 people.
Regardless the reason why this compound was so effective was because of it's active compound Rhododendrol 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanol at a 2% concentration, there were experiments with 5% on mice but it caused necrosis so it is dangerous at higher concentrations.
Experiments on mice below:
www.sciencedirect.com
This product is a phenol which is toxic to the kidneys and liver so it is not safe and beyond that you run the risk of looking too white which is a looksmin though it is the compund for achieving white skin.
Regardless if you want to turn white regardless of the side effects Rhododendrol is the compound that can achieve it.
Anyways none of this is medical Advice use at your own risk.
