Hair colour has to harmonize with your face. In most cases, dark hair is ideal, however blond hair can work on very masc faces (Dolf Lundgren, Brad Pitt), because it offsets the masculinity.
Blond or rather dirty blond hair can also work for contrast reasons (even though contrast isn't always ideal for males).
