Self consciousness is the biggest thing holding you back. I'm sure most of you guys started looksmaxxing because you wanted to be good looking enough to the point where you would stop stressing about your appearance, especially in social situations.

But is looksmaxxing really helping you with that ?
I'm sure when you are outside you constantly compare yourself with other people. You check yourself out everytime you see a mirror or reflective surface. You need constant reassurance that you are looking good. I was like that too. I know how painful it is to live life like that.

I know that it's hard to stop, for some more than others. But you gotta understand that there is no advantage to thinking like that. It's basically impossible to stop comparing yourself with others, that's human nature, but try to stop doing it actively. If you notice yourself doing it, redirect your thoughts somewhere else. Same thing with looking at yourself. Fight the urge of checking yourself when you pass by a mirror and don't spend hours analyzing pictures, videos or reflections of yourself. Don't ask others to rate you or use apps like face iq. Break the habit.

Don't mistake this for coping. Looks are undeniably important in life. Keep working on yourself but eliminate these unhealthy habits. That's how you actually improve and escape the blackpill. Try this for even just a week and you'll see it will have a massive positive effect on your confidence and performance in social interactions.

I'd like to credit @lurkingserpent. I've had this view on looksmaxxing for a while now but reading some of his posts made it a lot clearer in my mind and ultimately led me to making this post.

I get what you mean. When you are so invested in something things might seem bigger than they are. It's like when you learn about something new and it seems that you start seeing it everywhere. You have just become more aware of that thing. It's the same thing for appearance, if you are too aware of it you will keep linking the behaviour of others to your looks.

I suggest you stop looking at yourself all together not just outside or at school. Of course you can check yourself in the mirror before leaving the house and in a few other situations, but avoid standing in front of your mirror analyzing your flaws. Same with videos or pictures.

6' 3 chadlite would help

6' 3 chadlite would help
Even if you were to achieve that it wouldn't stop you from being self conscious. You think it would but it wouldn't. Certainly it would makes things easier but the only way to get out of it is to break the habit like I explained. But like I said you should still keep working on yourself.

Holy shit bro chill. I can guarantee you that this is one of the things that helped me the most. I'm 6'2 and good looking, I had girls hit on me but believe me when I tell you it did not make me less self conscious, at all. It's your mind that you gotta fix not your body for this.

Are u supporting the idea of self awareness
Isn't self awareness the self as self consciousness ? English isn't my first language so I might be wrong but I believe they mean the same thing. If so then no I don't support it. I mean everyone has a baseline self awareness, which is linked to your intelligence (I would actually say self awareness is the strongest sign of intelligence). I do not think you should try to be actively more self aware though, for the reasons I explained in this post. I think it's important to understand your emotions and why you might be feeling a certain way, without that affecting your behaviour. You should try to be rational when thinking about yourself.

I'm not sure why people care so much about post to rep ratio. It should indicate the quality of your posting but everytime I look at the profile area of someone with a high ratio most of their posts are in off topic. You are no exception with 1777 total posts and 1366 of them in off topic. That's a better ratio to look at to understand how knowledgeable someone is in my opinion. Join date is another thing people look at a lot. How about you guys just read what people have to say and argument with something other than stfu, dnr or any other bullshit.
