They're a free good to some and an actual luxury to others. Any particular woman could be both a free use toy just itching to be discarded and an elite unobtainable invite-only product all at the same time.
And of course they're all high maintenance and extract an immense toll from societies--there's really no reasonable ground to be had here, you either have her or you don't.
