In sociology there's something called the
social contract theory

1000219388

It's that individuals surrender certain freedoms to the collective group in exchange for security, justice, and overall well being of the tribe. In brain rot terms
The whole system is basically one big unspoken deal. You become a wageslave, grind 40+ hours for corpo overlords, pay taxes, scroll dopamine hits, and in return society gives you Netflix, cheap Uber Eats, ownership of a piece of land of you grind enough and the illusion you're free.

The sheeps keep the world running consuming, breeding the next batch of workers while the top 0.1% enjoys. This wasn't some grand conspiracy it's just how humans scaled tribes into civilizations. It is this obligations to strangers and institutions that were the load bearing beams. This is how the humans lived and have accepted as a way of life. Equality in inequality

1000219394

But now the world is different now. We have the internet, the hyper-atomization of modern life have broken the incentive structure. For the first time in history, the social part of the contract is being viewed as optional. People are opting out of the traditional script. The number of NEETs on the forum and their world view already tells you enough it's not because theyโ€™re lazy i think. It's because for many people in their positions. The ROI on participating is not worth it.

If enough wageslaves wake up and stop sheeping, the whole simulation glitches. You lose the endless dopamine, the infrastructure, and the safety net.

So most of us stay plugged in, venting our existential dread through doomposting. No one wants to be the NPC forever but dropping out isn't an option. If there are no sheep, there can be no lion

good thread

the sad part is that if there was even an ounce of organization, workers could put most corporate processes to a halt instantly.

The machine stops working when even a fraction of the parts quit.

The 0.1% will always remain there. Humans need a code/guide to live by for us to keep sane.

Yes chatgpt wrote this thread with brain rot terms ofc. Greycel.
yes, because you cant make a few surface-level alterations so the text isnt blatantly AI written

its still obvious by the overall flow of thinking (or lackthereof) in the text

I have a certain style of writing greycel. They are all fleeting thoughts. I only use AI for my much longer threads

you think this thread is intelligent? its incoherent, thats why i think its AI written

the social contract has nothing to do with neets or wealth inequality, these people are still bound by it and subservient to authorities

not to mention it benefits people like neets, since in a state of nature they would be weaker and therefore at the mercy of more powerful individuals

Youโ€™re just debating definitions nigger you completely missed the point of the post. I am not claiming people aren't still bound by it, just belief in the value of that contract is fracturing.

how is the belief in that contract fracturing? who doesn't want to have government protection from crime?

No. wanting protection =/= satisfied with the current deal. The system is a monopoly. like how everyone a few years ago had to buy adobe regardless of liking it or not. It's not a voluntary agreement, we're paying a premium for a service with very low ROI.

that other shit (class inequality, etc.) is not bound by a social contract. if anything you want more social contracts

The social contract isn't only about law and order it's the default understanding that working within the system results in a life worth living. When the middle class vanishes and the grind no longer buys stability the contract is effectively voided

no, thats not what it is...

the social contract is even more abstract, it just means that if you abide by/break a certain rule, others who also abide by it will enact something in accordance with you abiding by or breaking it
