A lot of parents give outdated advice and end up fucking over their sons and then they wonder why their sons get no girls when they grow up.
I've seen many times parents tell their kids to not worry about women and parties
"When you have a good job women will come, worry about your studies"
"Don't drink or smoke it's bad for your health, your friends are bad influences"
Basically hellicopter parents.
Then what happens is that the son ends up being a nerd, adult virgin with no experience who missed out on teenage love and is completely left behind his peers mentally.
Eventually they get a good job but it doesn't mean shit because they are still social outcast with no dating experience so no girl wants them.
The reason why parents give that type of advice it's because in their era it actually worked because women were less independent, but it's horrible advice in the modern era.
