At each moment you can do only one thing that is determined, otherwise if you can do an other thing given the same state of the world and your state of mind then your choices are absolutely random but it's impossible so free will doesn't exist.

It's not an excuse to give up, it should take away all your regrets and make you move on.

No it's just a logical observation, you should study it more in depth before making such statements

It all begins when you're born and brought up in an environment through no choice of your own. All your views and choices are shaped through that involuntary placement and conditions of social development, then it's all a chain of events and prior causes acting upon one another and causing you to make choices that couldn't have been otherwise. You have will as a result of being an intelligent agent but it's free, it's all a result of your brain which you have no ultimate control over and the interaction with the environment that pushes you into a constrained and limited set of options that you didn't choose. Free will is not possible for agents that come after the environment and only what we call "God" could have it because he would be precede everything and be in ultimate control of the environment and circumstances and have a say in how it's set in motion.

This is actually a spot on and quick dagger on this issue... he wants to change and wants to have a better life and yet can't... because of external factors outside of his control...I dont see how he could argue for free will when his own circumstance shows it doesnt exist

A logical observation can still just be an excuse to be lazy. those don't contradict one another

Idk what that means broski

What difference does "realizing you have no free will" make if you still have no idea where your will will get you/what your future actions will be

environmental determinism is the truth, all the things that have happened in my life (doesn't matter if good or bad) were all due to environment, the incels.is crowd need to shut the fuck up about their cucked genetic determinism bullshit, I don't care about some mystery goop DNA in my cells nor do I think it determines my life
