I remember a couple years ago my chemistry professor saying to the class that he had a "low IQ" of 115 but he worked really hard to get where he was as evidence to show that a bad IQ doesn't have to hold you back in STEM.
Yet 115 is a full standard deviation above the mean lol. And its not just him, most intelligent people would consider it a low score.
Generally speaking humans want the best. Its kind of like universal hypergamy. Its not enough just to be technically above average or 60th or 70th percentile or whatever. You have to be exceptional before people are willing to award you anything.
Same in the reverse direction. A 90 IQ, a 5 inch dick, etc. all these things are humiliating to have even though they're well within the 1st standard deviation of their respective qualities.

To be fair though, 115 is definitely below average for a chemistry professor. I think the average IQ of professors in general is 125-130 and it’s higher at top-tier institutions, so your professor had a point. Remember that the average IQ of 100 is probably much lower than you think if you’re normally surrounded by people in higher education

I live in india. Average height here is 5'9" for young generation.( check wikipedia if you don't believe me)

A 5'6" guy here is the equivalent of 5'7" in us.
And it doesnt look that short. Looks fairly normal.
