so a few days ago i had a ortho appointment i have tmj and obstructive sleep apnea i am very resseced which just fucks up my sleep bresthing and chewing but my bitch ass orthotondist said that my case is not severe enough for surgery and now i have to save up 12k to get a bimax in turkey i am 17 and i am missing out on so much shit because of my looks fuck my ortho and fuck my insurance

See if you can ask your ortho for a referral for a genioplasty. That's what I did, and when I saw the surgeon he was more intent on doing trimax. Basically just find a way to get in a maxfac's office. Ultimately their word will be the final one, not the ortho's

i have mild obstructive sleep apnea and my doctor also said it wasnt severe enough for surgery. its over bro

Also why does what an ortho think matter when it comes to medical insurance?

They are not medical doctors. Thus their opinions are not medically valid, regardless of what diagnoses or lack of diagnoses they make. Legally an it has the same medical validity as a @lurking truecel shitpost.

Go get a medical diagnoses from someone with an actual licenses to practice medicine. You know like an ENT or ortho maxillary surgeon surgeon.

i live in germany where you need a certain skeletal pattern for them to even consider it i its think in the us its the same basicaly you need a KIG 3-5 which in us is like class 2 or 3 bite for them to even consider it my bite is actualy ideal its class 1 and the tmj and osa are mild so even if i find other orthodontist the resulsts will most likley stay the same

Just do the surgery and let the surgeon ypu do it with write the reason for it and seaech for medical insyrance after. In mony eu countries this works.
