Is gaming actually looksmin? I seriously consider abandoning gaming forever but I can't find the answer by myself.

1. You are spending money to play a game that DOES NOT MATTER, nothing matters, nobody cares about your online multiplayer rank or ELO on faceit or whatever.
2. You are a CONS00MER - you literally pay money to waste time?
3. Skipping sleep, everybody knows sleep is the most important thing next to diet. Can you control yourself if GTA6/Witcher 4 comes out and not play 16 hours like a c00nsuming good goy?

4. Alternatives: what should you replace gaming with?
- If you were to make 50k$/month, from selling looksmaxing courses like Clavicular, would you really still be gaming? Does this prove that essentially gaming is a peasant loser hobby, because if you actually had possibilities (from money), you'd rather be going out, traveling, eating cool food, meeting people, buying your sports BMW and driving it around mogging and flexing on other people - instead, because you are a nobody irl, you run into virtual world.
- Looksmaxing, fully focusing on whatever regime you stick to (gym/walks/social life for statusmax)

Moneymaxxing is main priority right now for me. Money is freedom, if you had money you would be open to new possibilities and hobbies. Games waste your time entirely, unless you are top 0.0001% nigga like m0nesy or d0nk and are able to make absurd money from it.

Ask yourself this: if you had a way to make 10-20k$/month right now, would you still be playing your LoL/DOTA/CS/Valo/whatever you play?

Nah I wouldn't but in order to make 10k to 20k you need to take risks and money to invest into it and sometimes it takes multiple failures

Just get an worser computer, play games from the 2000s and slowly you'll find yourself not playing games anymore, I've went from playing games like gta 5 daily, god of war to some random game titles in 2000s, it's made games boring for me and eventually I'll quit

Online games are extremely addictive because corporations design them that way so that you come back/resubscribe/buy cosmetics/buy upgraded editions (looking at Tarkov jews here).

Depends maybe if you only play single player games then its not that bad, on some console or shit, but im talking about real gamers here who care about multiplayer ranks/FaceIT tryhards etc

Yes i believe this is a big looksmin, it's literally a waste of time. You could be doing other stuff that's much better/productive which actually helps you instead of masturbating over worthless pixels and numbers on a screen.

But, again, occasional gaming ain't bad, but it still gets you addicted.

Not in a month or anything, there's no timeline, it's tourneys that happen occasionally

But you have to be good af and have atleast 1-2k hours of playtime and very good game sense or ur just gonna get shat on in those tourneys

yeah well in any online game you play against 15yo cracked out tryhard kids with 10k hours, its just not worth it, to make 3000$ with 2000 hours total playtime in a game you are pretty much making 0.66$/hour, you are literally better slaving off in some warehouse physical job than this

I'd say if you made consistent 2000$+ A MONTH it would be worth it, other than that its a literal waste of time.

also those "OMG" in that movie are quite pathetic, imagine drooling over something that literally doesn't fucking matter

It's really simple. You just play games in your free time. That means you only play them when there's nothing productive to do and you don’t want to stare at a wall. Even then, you shouldn't play too much so you don't fry your dopamine receptors.

Good question though.

Agree with this, I just play games as my alternative media source to movies because they are all Jewish goyslop now that invoke no emotion. Whereas many games have actual passion and creative storytelling that I enjoy.

If you sit in your room grinding valorant by yourself you’re a faggot though.

Not everything you do needs to necessarily convert into money, status, sex.

Know so many people, who are like: “my time has only value if it’s rewarded by the system”.
Slave mentality, which reduces autonomy, and narrows thinking.
They don’t actively choose what matters, but let external factors decide for them- a normie in a nutshell.

story games are valid - they're on the same level as films and fictional books

if you're sinking hours in to beat other people or competing on a videogame - for example multiplayer games like call of duty and fortnite then that's for losers unless you're getting paid to play it

Unfortunately for 99% of people it’s true because all time is bought with brutal wageslaving so you need to extract maximum value from it.

OP points on gaming are very true, I honestly see gaming as something that should be a retiree hobby rather than something for young kids. It’s non physical, not expensive, a massive time sink, and can be done from the comfort of home.

I may become a gamer again once I am in my 40s and old and decrepit although the tren will probably get me before that.

kinda agree here, depends on a person though because I feel like if I get my hands on a really GOOD single player game im gonna blast it no-life, which is bad

ngl I feel bad after I finish nolifing some game

but on the other hand you can also compare it to movies, say you spend 10$ to watch 2 hour movie, then its not that bad to buy 60$ game to complete it in 20 hours on your 3000$ PC setup - but then again there's something unsettling about it, like I know i should be farming money + thinking about how much further i can improve irl on all bastions of life (looks, money, status, making enough to retire ur parents)

I would never buy new games, there are so many old games I’ve never played that you can get for free or nearly for free.

New games is just for the social aspect of it really, if you have no friends with which to talk about the “latest release” or whatever then it’s quite irrelevant.

well i mean besides GTA, Witcher 3, TES, Fallout, Dark Souls/anything FromSoft, maybe Borderlands too, and few more franchises i don't remember, there isnt really any high quality open world RPG games (games i mostly play), and if there are then you wait YEARS between releases

there isn't much to play anyway as for me

If you look at twitch's top games you keep seeing same shit, competitve sweat dog shit like CS/dota/lol, gta5 RP, minecraft, valorant sweats, idk FIFA and other

literally not much else?

It's weird cuz I actually enjoy some games but feel constant guilt for playing them since it just feels the same as watching TV or some other time wasting leisure activity. Another thing is the long hours of sitting that you could dedicate to sports or activity that can actually ascend you lol. I wish I never picked up gaming.

Yes, I understand your point, it’s basically pragmatism, and I might be speaking from a place of privilege.
Realistically, most people probably don’t have the luxury to ruminate about intrinsic motivation, they just live and try to maximise the value of their time in order to survive.
Gaming can definitely be a massive waste of time, depending on the context.

Still, for long-term outcomes, it’s arguably pretty important, how conscious and truly autonomous people act.
My gf, for example, is finishing her masters in architecture and is almost incapable of doing anything unproductive.
When I ask her why, she can’t articulate a clear intrinsic reason, her motives always revolve around the usual yap like security and ensuring a stable future.
Yet she isn’t materialistic at all.
She owns property on the Tegernsee (Bavaria) worth several million and is doing very well in her studies.
There’s a conflict. She identifies incentives after the fact, and basically reasoning backward.
Her motives aren’t truly genuine and intrinsic, they’re externalised, and most likely rooted in a lack of self-identity.
She basically mimics others because it gives her a sense of (short-term) safety and a feeling that she’s following the right path, which she has admitted herself.
She doesn’t want to take the responsibility of exploring and reflecting on her true self.
It’s obviously very idealistic and debatable, but I believe autonomy, consciousness and intrinsic motivation matter more in the long run than just maximising external rewards.

Your approach is a good compromise though.

Yeah, what you describe isn’t necessarily an issue if it comes after intrinsic evaluation.
If money enables a lifestyle that adds genuine personal joy, that’s totally fine, and probably stable long-term.
So, money lets you become who you genuinely want to be.
If you actually hate the process, though, potentially your life, or just simply lack direction, you may use this pathway to avoid facing it.
Partially the case with my girlfriend, for example, who is stressed and complaining pretty much 24/7.

Yes, bavaria is beautiful in general, and Tegernsee is peak in the summer. I can always chill in their vacation home for free.

Visited the museum last time as a child with my uncle.
Now as an adult, I don’t really care about cars tbh.
whatt do you think about this german stacy reviewing supercars? idk if her boyfriend owns these or what, or she just gets them as sponsorship to advertise?

Never seen here before. Would need to watch more of her for an actual opinion.

training , buying rp's , uc's
wasting my time
