to be honest, in a few centuries, puberty will begin to happen at like 16-20, making this actually factually correct. But with puberty happening that late, life expectancy will also increase

Our ancestors hit puberty at like 8 and were fully developed by 13, reproduced by 16 and probably died by like 20-30. Lower testosterone rates = puberty being hit later and later

average lifespan means very little for individuals it's mainly low because most people died at birth or in the first few years, those that reached adulthood had relatively normal lifespans afterwards.

Yes, now you have some guys hitting puberty as late as 18. In the future puberty will probably happen later and hitting puberty at 20-21 will be the norm

Well I’m legit considered a child, kid and youngcel on the forum despite turning 20 soon. But somehow all the other 18-19 year olds seem to have never get their age called out.

Like @Lebgfinal @Zer0/∞ were 16/17 spamming their faces on this forum yet I never saw anyone bringing up their age.

Historically, individuals have had higher average testosterone levels, which can induce earlier puberty and faster physical maturation.
It used to be an evolutionary advantage.
Lower t-levels today contribute to increased height, as higher levels can cause earlier closure of growth plates.
This hormonal shift typically leads to less pronounced sexual dimorphism in our current and following generations.
So it’s plausible, that developmental stages could shift even further.

Puberty onset at 8. is a stretch though.

It's total nerd bollocks.

There's never been a med-evil movie showcasing an 8 year old boy at 5'7-5'10 having hit puberty and with a stubble.

Or 9 or 10.

It's bollocks.

Don't talk to me about lower-T levels today bro. The modern world existed before your shoddy Generation Z generation. You're using a bunch of stupid confirmation bias and talking out of your little bubble you've lived in.

The Millennials born between 1982 and 1996 didn't have lower testosterone levels and we were all hitting our puberties at 12 earliest, with the odd outlier being 11.

You're just plucking poop from your ass because you didn't wipe it.

Lower testosterone has only reached such levels with Gen Z and that's due to smartphones. Having computers in phones. Millennials had normal regular phones until really the early part of their adult life. We needed to be on a computer to use social media and at that it was Facebook and the early stages of Twitter and Instagram. There were no apps.

A Gen Z'er that's only lived awake since the 2010s thinks low T has been a phenomenon for decades LOL. No buddy. You sound like one of those Americans that never leaves America and can't name 5 countries. THINK BIGGER.

Did you even read? I never implied anything you mention here but simply stated, that basically “hundreds of years ago” our testosterone levels used to be significantly higher, which is a factor in earlier puberty onset.
Earlier puberty onset used to be an advantage in terms of survival.
In recent generations lower T-levels have become a problem and contributed to later puberty onset on average.

I am neither GenZ, nor American sorry to disappoint you kid.

How can this be true? Studies show teenagers now have their puberty extremely soon compared to adults, before women started their period at 16, nowadays some start at 10 which is considered the normal

Puberty is statistically starting earlier, actually
