Geographic tongue is a condition that causes a map-like pattern to appear on the tongue. People with this condition have smooth, reddish patches surrounded by white borders on their tongues. The red areas are missing the tiny bumps (papillae) that naturally appear on the surface of the tongue.

Mine is less severe than the one I posted, but it still makes me really insecure about kissing a girl. Do you think it will gross them out?

There's no cure for it yet. How much my dating life would be affected by this?

can you get rid of the whiteness? the reason it looks bad in the pic is because the difference in color between the tongue and the whiteness and if it's less severe than that it will be barely noticable unless you try to look or stick out your tongue.
