getting 2 teeth veneered at 16

i have 2 peg laterals on the top row of my teeth and theyre getting veneered in a couple hours
this is what they look like compared to regular teeth

recently got my braces removed so now i wont get a gap between my teeth if they shift
my mom thinks itll save money cuz "ill end up needing a root canal" if i dont get em since the nerve is so close to the oustide
even tho i dont eat a goyslop diet
