Likely getting bimax for free. I have since had high sitting IoM implants which im happy with, they sit high enough to not be in line with the cut in all likeliness.
heres a 3D ct scan b4 the IoM implants:
Was born with tooth agenesia which means I didn't get all the teeth I should have, so have had extensive orthodontic treatment which finished with implants (note the titanium plates are from many years ago and can be safely removed, it was just to add bone in an area that had too little bone during the implant work):
Notice the small alveolar ridge in my 3D CT scan. Because back when I did the dental work the policy was to just slap some fucking teeth in my face without treating the bones themselves, I have to go through this shit now, but hey, at least I get it covered, this was done before virtual surgical planning was a thing as well).
The jaw surgeon which referred me put this in my referral note:
"To improve upper lip support, increase midface height and expose incisors, he will benefit from LeFort I forward and downward movement, combined with BSSO mandible. The midline deviation will then become more prominent, and implants may complicate jaw orthopaedics. Implant bridges may need to be redone.
The patient has a deviated vertical face/maxillary crest height due to multiple agenesis that has resulted in lack of skeletal growth"
I'm probably gonna ask if they can do a segmental Lefort to expand my V arch to a U to press in an extra tooth in the arch as well to remove any buccal corridors that might appear when I finally show teeth when I smile. I thought I was gonna be severely limited by my implants, but apparantly up to 30 degree deviation is fine and crowns/bridges can be adapted. The one I'm mainly worried about is the one in the middle, since I need to adjust the jaw position to correct the midline asymmetry.
