@artvandelay I'm considering her for a fat graft as well. Haven't gotten in touch yet, so still hypothetical at this point. @bossman warned us in a past thread that her fees are comparable to Western surgeons', so your quotes don't come as a surprise. It seems to be a common trope nowadays among the best Turkish surgeons in their respective fields : their marketing is skill-based, not price-based any longer ; their targeted international patients are ready to pay as much as they would in their country of origin, if not more. Just like you.

That said, I don't know how experienced she is with fat grafts. Did she show you a large portfolio of results, and did it display numerous male patients ? Did she tell you how frequently she performs the procedure ?
It seems a bit odd that you lack fat to harvest if you're actually not that lean. Very lean guys who went to Thailand had fat harvested from their thighs and glutes, when the belly and lower back were too dry. I can't recall anyone being rejected by the Thais for being too lean.

Maybe she is just conservative by default, because she's seen too many botched jobs from other surgeons and has strong ethics.
The scientific literature on fat grafting does back her up (@LTN ). Overfilling is not a recommended practice. If a patient wants to achieve so-called hunter eyes, he can undergo several successive grafting sessions. This strategy is more costly, but it's also safer, faster to recover from, and it allows better control over the final outcome. Most people here cannot be bothered with this strategy, either because their budget doesn't allow it, and/or because they are very young and have no patience (they think life is over at 25yo ... if not earlier ).

yeah i think its a gimmick / marketing thing for her

she also did microneedling on my face which i find odd since from my understanding, getting 1 session of microneedling is useless but idk i figured its wtv and its included so who cares

but yeah she told me she used microfat too for areas where i needed volume, and nano for rejuvenation

maybe i should have gotten the LERR / cantho only to save $, but time will tell if the fat grafts were worth it. i am very happy with her actual hardmax surgery on me so worst case i wasted a few grand on fat grafting, not the worst thing tbh

hey guys tomorrow I will be getting lower eyelid elevation (with spacer graft + canthoplasty) + nanofat transfer to undereye for dark circles and upper eyelid for UEE with dr ayse dolar (reputable oculoplastic surgeon, I'm paying 15k euros for this)

during our in person consultation today, she told me that when she does fat grafting to reduce UEE, she is conservative and her explanation was something like if you overcorrect with fat graft it's irreversible vs if i want filler she can be agressive because it's reversible. I asked what "overcorrection" means here, what the consequences are and i think she replied "you will have hooded eyes" or i think also something about being too puffy? but my question to you is, are hooded eyes always desirable? should i just have told her yes I want an irreversible overcorrection give me irreversible hooded eyes!!?

also for the first time in her career, she is uncertain if i have enough BF for the lipo, she said tomorrow before surgery she will have someone clear me if it's ok, or if not she will only do the cantho. but reading from rattinan threads on the forum, there is no minimum BF% right and i should be gucci? BTW i am well above 10% I'm sure. (140 lbs at 5'7 with decent muscle mass lifetime natty, i was 130 lbs when shredded on reta)

by the way i also asked for positive orbiral vector and she said the only real fix is orbital decompression +/- rim implant which she doesn't do for cosmetic purposes because she thinks the risk/reward is bad, but she said that my eyelid elevation + fat grafting will give an illusion that eyes are more deep set with more positive ortbital vector and a lot of patients are happy with that alone, so i will go see taban next year if i'm not satisfied by then

this is very last minute but any feedback would be appreciated

in any case she did tell me that if i want something more agressive at a latter date, there is no problem i can just go to rattinan then. she also told me that it's very optional in my case and that her patients who ask for fat graft for UEE have a goal similar to my actual UEE...

do you think it comes down to her just not being blackpilled? BTW she seems goated as an oculoplastic and I did extensive research and I am not here to save $ at all, i'm not letting a random doc mess with my eye area ofc
