Because God has no obligation toward you

no one would say its evil to let a bacteria die on its own even tho with science we could save it

we dont because its below us to do that

same with God tbh

he has no obligation toward you

Thats because there is a gigantic amount if bacteria, we can't prioritise one over the others. God is omnipotent, he can easily help everyone.

Not to mention that scientists don't claim to love bacteria the same way God claims to love us.

Just my thoughts.

Realistically if God was real, do you think a mere mortal would be able to understand God's logic or way of thought if you could even call it that? These type of discussions are stupid because of that.

A "gigantic amount" is entirely arbitrary

if I were to let a kid die nothing would change, the world would go on

but its stillseen as morally wrong because kids have value for whatever reason it wouldnt matter if there were infinity kids

the value is in the individual kid

in the case of the bacteria its the same but the opposite

we know the bacteria has no value

its the same for God

we are of no concern to him

By that logic, your parents who created you, have no obligation towards you.

If we can point out abusive parents, why is it any different?

You make a fair point about gigantic being arbitrary, but what about the part where god loves us, but has no obligation. If you love someone, you don't NEED an obligation to do good for them. I have no obligation to share, spare or be kind, yet I love doing those things to and for my loved ones.

This thread supports God's decision even though you're not religious. It proves you value objectivity. I respect that.

me and my parents are both human which isnt comparable to a human and an infinitely powerful being

we are closer to bacteria than we are to God

I wouldnt really say that I support Gods deciscion

I would much prefer for him to just swoop in and fix everything

but I dont say hes evil because he doesnt, I used to but I realize now that is childish thinking

i dont get christian/christianesque thinking

evil is destruction, it keeps balance, it kills the weak, natural selection

who is god, anyway?

I mean by saying that he has no obligations, it supporting why he doesn't try to save people from disasters. It validates his image as a merciful, loving deity

But why do we need to feel good?

What are we to god?
His creation but he doesn’t exist so this discussion is pointless
