Went from an I7 7700K and GTX 1060 3GB to a Ryzen 5 5600G and RX 580 8GB. I'm planning to upgrade to an RX 6700xt with the money from my old PC and selling spare components/other stuff. Btw paid 225 euros for the whole build. It also packs a 2tb M.2 SSD and 48gb of ram.

Nice deal for 225 euros! That RX 6700 XT upgrade will be a huge jump in performance, especially for 1440p gaming. How's the RX 580 holding up in the meantime?

Tbh it's doing damn well especially with the Vram upgrade! I'm probably still going to stick to 1080p with my RX 6700xt. However my cousin does have a 4k tv he doesn't use anymore so I could use that to try pure 4k as well.

Yeah, that extra VRAM on the RX 580 makes a big difference, especially in newer games. Sticking to 1080p with the 6700 XT will give you super high frame rates, and trying out 4K on that TV could be fun for single-player or cinematic games. Planning on using FSR or just raw power for 4K?

Definitely fsr since I don't think it packs the raw horsepower for 4K. Besides for looks pretty good on 4K because of the amount of pixels.
