I always walk down to the fridge every night, with a insulin syringe and an alcohol wipe.
Then I quickly take 6iu out of the vial and go back to my room.

But today I was about to grab the vial when I noticed Inlost my alcohol wipe...
I looked everywhere but I can't find it

So somewhere in the house there's an alcohol wipe laying around, even though my parents think we don't have any

Y'all got any good excuses where it could come from?

alcohol wipes literally just look like a cut piece of baby wipe and using them is pointless for the most part, doctors do it to seem professional but the science behind it isn't actually that convincing and doesn't actually make much of a difference.

This is a based take though. I still use them, I don't mind wasting a few seconds for some peace of mind, maybe I should change my mindset when it comes to these but for now I have hundreds laying around so why not.

Isn't the whole point that when entering the skin, the needle comes in contact with the bacteria on the skin
So I don't quite understand how it would be useless

unless you're using the same needle again there's not going to be anything significant on there, they don't make your skin sterile to begin with.

by the way the only way it even does anything is to swab the injection site for half a minute, then let it dry for another half a minute, and THEN use the needle, but you aren't doing that.

Does this apply to IV as well? I know it all ends up in the bloodstream at the end of the day but I assume there has to be a difference between IM/SUBQ and IV.
