Guys i need some advice (ortho) pls

i went to 2 consultations already and they all wanted to use rubber bands/elastics for my class ii deep bite, i really dont want to use them cause of the side effects and i just think other appliances are way better. these people i just called said they did mara on there website but then on the phone they said they probably wouldnt use it and just use elastics, what do i do? do i just getg elastics?

maybe you could classify for herbst appliance? its best if you attach pics of your bite, side and also mention your age.
