WTAF is happening here, I was driving and there was something rough on the road (their was a pothole or smth) so I there was a thud.

Then suddenly the hood of my car got raised wtf is this??? Do I have to get this repaired or is it a normal feature of the car/is there a button I can press to make it go down???

Am I cooked? Is there any way I can get it to go down without going to a repair shop??
