So basically I lift in the mornings and usually my first meal of the day is my pre workout meal whether its egg whites + potato or chicken and rice. I feel like I don't have enough energy in my lift or feel very vascular during my lift. Any advice on this?

I have read that eating strictly carbs when waking up is just asking to become inflamed and bloated so I have a little bit of protein with it about 20-25g

Inflammation is a meme buzzword.

If youre actually inflamed youll have elevated crp which you can test on bloodwork for like 10 bucks at most

Systemic inflammation is everywhere even if you routine perfectly

so you're saying I can just go straight carbs when waking up for my meal? Like just slamming 6 rice cakes

They probably mean "bloating" or water retention, most people aren't inflamed to "bloated" look degree unless you have Cushing Syndrome JFL

Yes, without any issues whatsoever.

What actually drives inflammation is chronically elevated blood glucose which happens when you get fat.

If youre lean aka insulin sensitive have as many carbs as you want.

If you're gonna eat carbs utilize slin to counter inflammation from the blood sugar spike

What about administrating exogenous insulin?

That stops the blood glucose spikes as well, that causes the inflammation in the first place.

You could do that, but its really fucking pointless unless youre a literal diabetic. Retatrutide is wayyyyy better for non diabetics and even for a lot of full blown diabetics

Glucose spikes arent an issue if youre metabolically healthy. I kept my hba1c (average blood glucose last 3 months) at the bottom of the reference range slamming endless carbs during my bulk with the use of retatrutide

As long as you dont get fat, yea ig.

No protein is weird though as youre looking to build muscle

I meant as like pre workout meal because I lift in the mornings so like wake up at like 930ish then I end up lifting around 1015 so that first meal would be just carbs now instead of me including protein like I used to.

Ofc I eat tons of protein post lift 1g/1lb

just carb up b4 the gym and you could benefit from caffeine especially because you lift in the morning. 5 rice cakes 2 bananas and some honey with 300mg caffeine do it for me

Ait,
Rest assured that youre not damaging your body eating pure carbs, especially pwo

Yea I hope that it doesn't affect me in a bad way just doing carbs on empty stomach but no pre workout I feel way too itchy imo and don't really need it. I just want the energy/pump/vascularity for my lifts
