if levels are too high or low, they can cause certain issues like underdeveloped external genitalia, prostate enlargement and hair loss.

5 alpha reductase inhibitors like fin and dut work against by reducing the production of dht (dht causes hair loss)
Topical anti androgens (like RU and kx) work by overloading the androgen receptor by binding on it so dht can't bind and harm hair follicles.
You only have these two options, Minoxidil is only an growth antagonist and won't be sufficient in treating male pattern baldness long term.
