Thanks to my genes i will he bald in my early twenties if i don't do anything, this made me wonder, how effective is hair transplant as last resort as i've seen a lot of fails on media

Hair transplants are a subpar plastic surgery. It's a crapshoot even with the very best specialists. The data stating a >95 % success rate with super high regrowth is absolute bogus. (source : a friend of mine who's been working around and with these very best specialists for 15+ years)

It's only really worth it if you have ideal characteristics :
low norwood
dense donor area
high number of multiple-hair follicular units in the donor area
thick hair caliber
textured hair (curly > straight)
low color contrast between hair and skin (e.g. blonde hair on fair skin, dark hair on brown skin)
healthy scalp (vascularity+)

If you tick most of these boxes, then, yeah, you can give it a try.
But you still won't be guaranted a high regrowth.
Don't be fooled by showcased results that are outliers and/or frauded in some ways (lighting, angle, wet hair VS dry hair, color dye, length & style, thickening fibers, etc.).
The most realistic outcome for the average hair transplant is a partial regrowth or a transplanted density that will look mediocre once grown out.

If you are >18 yo, you should hop immediately on finasteride, minoxidil, and microneedling (dermastamp). It works to varying degrees in most cases. I'd recommend to start with a fin+min lotion, in order to reduce the risk of side effects (topical fin will only reduce your DHT serum by 20 %, while still targetting efficiently DHT in the scalp).

How old are you ? Have you noticed early signs of hair loss (miniaturisation = individual hair getting thinner and less pigmented ; oily/itchy scalp, dandruff, etc.) ? And are you on any hair loss treatment atm ?

I'm 17 and i have been receding since i was like 16. I'm using minoxidil on the area, ketoconazole shampoo and dermarolling 3 times a week, i cannot do more than this rn. When i finish growing i will start dht blockers and maybe get a small hair transplant if i get my money right

Hair transplants are the worst surgery in existence. I went to a famous surgeon and my hair is completely ruined. The only surgeons worth considering are the ones in Switzerland and Brazil charging between 20 and 50,000 dollars.

99% of the surgeons in Turkey wouldn't be able to survive and have a career anywhere outside of Turkey. Their only selling point is price. Surgeons in USA, Europe, and Thailand are better, on average than Turkish surgeons. If I was considering Turkey, I would compare the best surgeons in Turkey to surgeons in other parts of the world, like Thailand.

Oh yes I also had Thailand in mind. But I thought they were of the same quality as turkey.

Thailand is significantly better than Turkey.

I don't recommend AHC. They're the ones who botched me. I have hair on my right temple, that should be angled 15 degrees to the skin. They were implanted at closer to 45 degrees, almost straight upwards, giving me a "horned" appearance.

Hair transplants on Caucasians are a full order of magnitude more difficult than on Asians or Africans. Everything from the angulation of the hair to the shape of the hairline, is much more difficult. There are even differences between blondes, brunettes, redheads, et cetera, in terms of not just hair color, but also hair type, hair diameter, hair density, and most importantly, the shape of the hairline.

If you're black or Asian with a razor straight hairline, just go to Thailand. If you're a blond guy with a stereotypical Nordic hairline, your natural hairline is going to be nearly impossible to reconstruct with surgery. The people who get the best results from HT surgery are the people who still had an intact hairline prior to surgery, and only needed to fix the area behind the hairline.

If you go to AHC, they'll draw a straight line across your forehead. Now, for some Caucasians, that's the hairline they were born with. If you look at the hairlines of random white people, you'll notice there's a broad range of hairlines. Some of them are M-shaped, some are U-shaped, some are impossible to categorize. You'll also notice that some of them are naturally asymmetrical. I have an "open" temple on one side, and a "closed" temple on the other side.

As far as I know, only 3 doctors/clinics are relatively reliable in Switzerland : Dr. Raphael Meyer in Geneva, Hattingen Clinic in Schaffhausen, and Dr. Lars Heitmann in Zurich. The last two aren't even native Swiss btw (Hattingen : Romanians by way of Germany ; Heitmann is Dutch).
DHI can do an ok job, but, unless their operation has changed in recent years, it is too opaque to be recommended without reserve — you don't know beforehand the identity of the doctor who will operate on you, because their surgeons are touring across Europe (I'm not even sure it is a legal practice btw).

All these guys apply the same surgical techniques & protocols, with sometimes a little twist (e.g. DHI and their Choi implanter). They have no revolutionary knowledge, and deliver more or less the same esthetic outcomes that you will get from other reputable international clinics.

Granted, I haven't updated my research since the turn of this decade. If newcomers on the Swiss market are really standing out, feel free to share their names. I'd be curious to review their work. Or if any of the aforementioned guys has implemented a game changer to their protocol, please share the info.

As for Brazil, until today, I only knew their old posterboy for the ISHRS and HairTransplantNetwork (Dr. Arthur Tycocinski). He wasn't doing anything special last time I checked.
I just browsed HTN for the first time in 5+ years, and a few Brazilian doctors are now being promoted on the platform : Drs. Felipe Pittella, Emanuela Morello, Tony Ruston, Gabriele Fachini ... are these the surgeons you had in mind ?

Damn this is worrying icl cause I'm planning to get a hair transplant by a top teir doctor in turkey. I've currently got a nw2 type hairline with finer hairs in the nw1-0 position that are more spread out/not as dense as the hair wall of hair behind them. Like I've still got my original hairline its just thinner now. I've regrown a bit and maintained my hairline for a year or 2 on 0.5 mg dut and 2.5 mg oral minoxidill, and im planning on hopping on 2.5 mg dut and just started ru for futureproofing. I'm just looking for him to thicken up the frontal hairline by like 70 or so grafts /cm^2 or wtv it would take to get a proper density for a hairline thats dense asf, able to be be put in a brushed back with messy bangs and have the hairs dense asf. My hairs are curly and thick and I got a dense donor area since im 20 and been on the regiment for 2 years. You mfs think thats possible cause icl I dont see the point of having hair if I cant get that exact result or smt very near. Thanks guys.

And theyre not like crazy thin I can still do proper hairstyles with my current hairline. Like I can style it in a way that it looks like im still nw0 its just not at a density where i can brush it back and have it look sick
