then keep the fringe shorter while growing the back and sides. the back is most important for "flow" imo and the sides dont have to be mega long. you could tell all this to a salon aswell

Basically what I do is after a shower just part your hair in whenever you want into two part with a brush or comb while hair still wet then swipe it back for each part even from sides.
Once finished don’t touch your hair anymore.
i take shower before sleep so always wake up with good hairstyle without any products.
