First of all, any person who is rich got so by doing creative or intellectual work(sans luck), which takes a lot of effort and cannot be performed over long periods of time.
The grindset 16 hour days only works for people who can see a linear return in their investment on it. Yes if you have a job, you can increase your grunt capacity by increasing your hours and that seems to work for people who are into fields like medicine because of the time, peak performance isn't required, still your income is linear.
ergo if you make 80k working 40 hours, you can double that by working 80 hours but the return is completely linear and in many cases the time/investment is not worth it
You can't study 14 hours a day without ruining your ability to retain or damaging your health.
Just like you can't expect to be in great shape if you work out for 4 hours a day 7 days a week.
Anyone saying otherwise is literally lying to you because most rich people are rich cuz of luck or IQ and hate to say to other people that's the reason, and so they like to keep up the lie/facade that Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk are working 16 hours.
Actual success in all factors of life comes from smart decisions, consistency and reducing stressors so you can perform better in your active work/study while also keeping the rest of your life functional.
It's complete bullshit, no one but complete idiot who has no idea of what success is will honestly say that.
Most rich people spend most of their time around high IQ managers who they themselves rarely work half a work week active time just signing stuff and making executive decisions
