Harmony=attractiveness because the most attractive faces are simply the ones that are easiest on the eyes and deviate the least from averages, this includes harmonious dimorphism. ‘Harmony’ is basically another bail out word for ‘attractiveness’ when no one has an explanation for why someones attractive, (e.g Chico).
Someone tell me, how can harmony/attractiveness be measured then?
Harmony is more than ratios. It is unmeasurable by statistics and only measurable through the human eye.
Dont tell me harmony can be measured by ratios alone when creatingattractive measures his own facial harmony as 5% higher than delisola and only 1% lower than Chico
. Wouldn’t this put him in model category?
Do you think creatingattractive is more attractive and harmonious than Delisola?
If you ask people “how does gandy get away with a massive nose” they’ll tell you “muh harmony” even though it doesnt meet ideal ratios they’ll say this because there is to much complexity to explain what makes it harmonious.
If i can simply explain that Chico can be attractive with no striking features because of his ‘harmony’ does that mean i can say the same about creatingattractive since he has the same harmony score? No, there are simply way to many factors at play to explain what makes Chicos face 10x more harmonious than creatingattractive which cant be explained by statistics.
There are simply too many variables to measure in the complex structure of the face to truly determine someones attractiveness: pheno, height, frame, ratios, averageness, dimorphism. There is so much science behind the way people are percieved that we simply cant measure attractiveness using statistics and numbers. Yes we can generally get an idea if someone is not deformed/meets the average but the only true way of knowing if someone’s attractive is from your initial reaction of them. You know when someone is attractive or not, you dont need numbers to tell you if someone is attractive, our subconscious is much smarter than we think and determines someone’s attractiveness through 100s of factors subconsciously. Our brains are too complex to truly understand the maths/science behind what makes someone attractive, you just know if you have common sense.
TLDR: Harmony cant be measured, humans know when something is harmonic to the eye’s subconsciously and that can’t be explained by numbers. Harmony is attractiveness. Harmony is a bailout word we use when we subconsciously know someone is attractive but cant explain it through our current looksmaxxing knowledge as it is too complex to be explained, but we just know.
