I don't know if a lot of people can relate to this or not. It's an unreal feeling. Literally.
I feel like I'm in some kind of simulation. I feel like I'm observing myself from an outsider's perspective rather than actually experiencing being me.
People don't feel real to me anymore. I don't see people as real beings anymore; I'm completely detached from them. Recently, my emotions aren't being "felt" anymore either. It's difficult to explain without sounding corny. I had my grandma break down in front of me recently, and despite her being the most important soul to me, I felt nothing. Literally. I was looking at her more like an object, almost like an NPC in a video game, where you would rather laugh at them being in pain than feel for them or feel with them.
Time feels strangely unfamiliar. Sometimes it passes in an instant, and other times it feels like it never passes at all. My thoughts don't feel like they belong on this earth, nor do they feel like they belong anywhere for that matter.
What I do know is that I'm still real, but I don't feel like anything else really is. That's the distinction I make between what I'm experiencing and being schizophrenic.
Feeling like this gives me a rather huge sense of euphoria.
Has anybody else experienced this?
