I got it when I slept on my side too, that’s when I felt I was being watched from behind, chest compression happened on my back, and the heart attack feeling happened both. It’s a myth it’s only on ur back.

I practiced lucid dreaming which is amazing. The ratio of lucid dreaming to sleep paralyses wasn't even that bad, I logged everything on a notebook and I believe I had like 40+ fully lucid dreams in which I was able to do anything I wanted and 5 or so sleep paralyses. Just a tradeoff. My dreams have always been extremely vivid and I'm always excited to share them.

Both full lucid dreaming and sleep paralyses are very very intense.

Used to have severe night terrors for a while. I would not remember much from what happened but my parents would say I would move around the house, screaming or just in complete horror or panic. I did remember a few but they nearly made me jump out of the window a few times thinking someone broke in my house.

I am very hard to traumatise or scare but waking up from an episode of a night terror is one of the few times in my life I had ever felt genuine animalistic fear.

Because they make me experience emotions that last when I wake up, 2 nights ago I had an overwhelming positive dream, but last night I had one where I was chased and beat up over “40 mins” while I waited helplessly for help. It legit felt real and I was shocked to find out I was bloody and bruised when I woke up.
But still isn’t worth risking sleep paralysis for me

I hate paranoia, I have learnt to handle it a bit better but every time I feel a pattern that keeps coming back. I tend to think someone is watching me, it is why I tape any camera, remove any recorder and isolated any microphone I have within a box with padding.

No, it is a completely fair reason. I take sleeping medications too. Melatonin makes us dream more. For me I just dream nonsense, random patterns, faces, places with no real structure beyond liminality. Non-euclidean would be a good word. I never really dream without melatonin at all, I mostly just have no dreams until I take sleeping tablets.

I don’t have it that bad. But I do have bad paranoia in general. Always feeing like I’m being stalked or watched.

When you feel stressed by something, or by repeating noises. Do you ever feel more watched and hunted?

It happens quite a few times. I gain consciousness, can’t move, and feel like someone is in front of me. I always immediately try to move or push my arm out. When I was a kid I used to be afraid of aliens, so snytime I got sleep paralysis I imagined I was being abducted jfl.

1st time: Couldn't move my body, was awake. Tried to slip out of my body and entered a weird state where I was floating above my body looking at it. Explored my house and was overall pretty cool

2nd time: Happened in school and in a weird position at my desk where my airway was obstructed. Slowly suffocated for 2 minutes until my body snapped out of it and I jolted up heaving in the middle of first period like a retard.

After that I learned the toe curl method to escape

3rd time: thought i was dreaming, realized I was paralyzed and felt a sense of dread so I toecurlmaxxed until I woke up

Yeah sounds like u got the first level of sleep paralysis, it only gets worse from where u are so do everything to avoid it, because normally it does progress into a more horrifying experience
