And what happened
I’ve had it many times. But I’ve never seen any figures, just chest compression, feeling like I’m being watched, and “heart attacks” or “seizures”
Terrifying nevertheless

Never happened, I think you experience that because you sleep on your back. I never sleep on my back. I always sleep on my right side.

I 'trained' lucid dreaming for like a year, that was the only period where I actually experienced about 5-6 sleep paralyses throughout the year. Fucked up stuff :Comfy:

I got it when I slept on my side too, that’s when I felt I was being watched from behind, chest compression happened on my back, and the heart attack feeling happened both. It’s a myth it’s only on ur back.

Yes i hear only voices of women screaming and the feeling of being watched as you said. I never see figures because i just don't fucking open my eyes:lul:

Why would u ever want to experience it?
It gives me panic attacks to this day, I get them
even when I’m chilling in public because of this. I feel like my heart stops sometimes.
Bro trust me stop lucid dreaming. This shits psychologically scarring

Damn, I didn’t know that. That’s interesting. Why do you experience those? I’ve never had it happen to me.

Same I make sure I don’t open them lmao
I don’t wanna see some crazy shit, I’ve never had an auditory episode (hopefully I never do)
The most intense I’ve had is just feeling like I’m gna die, and then at the end the feeling of being watched

Yeah, I dealt with the demons and everything

But now I'm used to it, I can turn it into a lucid dream

I practiced lucid dreaming which is amazing. The ratio of lucid dreaming to sleep paralyses wasn't even that bad, I logged everything on a notebook and I believe I had like 40+ fully lucid dreams in which I was able to do anything I wanted and 5 or so sleep paralyses. Just a tradeoff. My dreams have always been extremely vivid and I'm always excited to share them.

Both full lucid dreaming and sleep paralyses are very very intense.

I have no idea tbh
Maybe it’s due to stress or trauma or lack of sleep.
It’s 100% the most scary thing u can experience imo.
Because it literally feels real and u are actually paralysed

Lucky u can.
But I’m sure at the start it was awful

Used to have severe night terrors for a while. I would not remember much from what happened but my parents would say I would move around the house, screaming or just in complete horror or panic. I did remember a few but they nearly made me jump out of the window a few times thinking someone broke in my house.

I am very hard to traumatise or scare but waking up from an episode of a night terror is one of the few times in my life I had ever felt genuine animalistic fear.

I’ve had a lack of sleep for over ten years, I don’t think it’s that. Could be stress/trauma though.

same I have very vivid deeams due to sleep medication, I love them. Because they make me experience emotions that last when I wake up, 2 nights ago I had an overwhelming positive dream, but last night I had one where I was chased and beat up over “40 mins” while I waited helplessly for help. It legit felt real and I was shocked to find out I was bloody and bruised when I woke up.
But still isn’t worth risking sleep paralysis for me

I hate paranoia, I have learnt to handle it a bit better but every time I feel a pattern that keeps coming back. I tend to think someone is watching me, it is why I tape any camera, remove any recorder and isolated any microphone I have within a box with padding.

It was insanity. Really disturbed me
I haven’t even had it as bad as u but even my level of it deeply disturbed me. It’s like I live on fight or flight 24/7 now

I can’t imagine experiencing these things when I live alone. This is my number 1 reason for not wanting to move out rn sounds stupid

I don’t have it that bad. But I do have bad paranoia in general. Always feeing like I’m being stalked or watched.

Probs a mix. And the fact I’m on medication for it.
Either way ur so lucky to have never experienced it, idk why it’s not talked abt as much. It’s legit a 10/10 horrifying experience.

Yeah, no. You’re right. I’m glad I’ve never experienced it. I don’t want to imagine how it would be for me, having been a horror fan. I’ll probably imagine the scariest demons I can think of. :feelskek:

No, it is a completely fair reason. I take sleeping medications too. Melatonin makes us dream more. For me I just dream nonsense, random patterns, faces, places with no real structure beyond liminality. Non-euclidean would be a good word. I never really dream without melatonin at all, I mostly just have no dreams until I take sleeping tablets.

When you feel stressed by something, or by repeating noises. Do you ever feel more watched and hunted?

Yeah they're really horrible. It doesn't really matter who you are, if you think nothing can scare you or anything like that. Sleep paralysis is sleep paralysis and if you get an episode it will fill you with terror.

I’ve always had Vivid dreams, they’re just more common now I take 2mg a night.
Not sure what u mean in the second part, do u mean when paralysed or irl?
I feel stressed just walking alone tbh.

Yep, no matter who u are. It’s because the amygdala (fear gland) will produce whatever u personally find most scary. So no matter who u are u will be scared to the core.

It can't be real bro. I have not met a single person in my entire life who's had this.
U Being fr? It’s super well documented.
I promise you, on everything I love it’s super real.
1 in 10 people experience it.

It happens quite a few times. I gain consciousness, can’t move, and feel like someone is in front of me. I always immediately try to move or push my arm out. When I was a kid I used to be afraid of aliens, so snytime I got sleep paralysis I imagined I was being abducted jfl.

Terrifying nevertheless
1st time: Couldn't move my body, was awake. Tried to slip out of my body and entered a weird state where I was floating above my body looking at it. Explored my house and was overall pretty cool

2nd time: Happened in school and in a weird position at my desk where my airway was obstructed. Slowly suffocated for 2 minutes until my body snapped out of it and I jolted up heaving in the middle of first period like a retard.

After that I learned the toe curl method to escape

3rd time: thought i was dreaming, realized I was paralyzed and felt a sense of dread so I toecurlmaxxed until I woke up

Yeah sounds like u got the first level of sleep paralysis, it only gets worse from where u are so do everything to avoid it, because normally it does progress into a more horrifying experience
