Imagine generalizing a group of criminals as a specific height when you don’t even have a study to support that. Just get all evidence from movies where short men are picked because they look lower class.

When you are short you are basically invisible to many people, you can easily sneak in, steal stuff, pickpocket, you are less likely to attract attention.
