Haven't had Japanese whiskey in a while so picked this up

Nothing special just a regular entry level toki. Too bland to be sipped neat but still pretty decent. If my dad was around I would have bought a more expensive bottle. He is a big fan of Japanese whiskey but he's not and my mum doesn't drink so I'm the only one finishing this bottle. I already transferred all the liquor into a wooden cask just to age it a little more.
