Unless we're talking about extremes where you're literally hundreds of pounds/kilos overweight, this shit meme of a healthy lifestyle and eating is just another example of the just-world fallacy. Your weight, blood pressure, predisposition to cancer and heart disease, etc. is overwhelmingly genetic, like everything else.

Case in point, myself vs. my mother. The latter is in her early 60s, and she's a fat, disgusting pig. She constantly binges on junk food and sugar. Yet her blood pressure is in the 120s (she does take blood pressure meds, admittedly, but this alone cannot explain her low BP, even with meds, considering her age and horrible lifestyle). Meanwhile, I'm half her age, and I've got 130–140 blood pressure as a result of sleep apnea that I'm finding extremely hard to fix, even with treatment. This shit is fucking genetics.

SSRIs also permanently lowered my metabolism. I used to be able to lean down to 69 kg as a 6.2 ft tall, scrawny guy, even with a horrible lifestyle (drank every weekend, binge-ate junk, etc.). But after spending 2 years on Lexapro, it's like my normal body functioning has been permanently changed, even though I've been off it for like 2 years now. Losing weight is now extremely hard for some reason. My libido also tanked.

Maybe salt, sugar, etc. do play some role in health outcomes, but it's secondary at best unless you go extremely overboard. Genetics > everything.

How is it genetics when you yourself said that a drug greatly changed your metabolism ? There’s drugs to boost it as well so it doesn’t make sense

The medication Abilify destroyed me. I gained 20 lbs and my metabolism is permanently altered as well as the damage it does to your hormonal profile. I've looked it up. I honestly believe I have a legal case due to damages.

It absolutely blows my mind that SSRIs are even legal. They're literally giving people drugs that will PERMANENTLY ruin their bodies. It's insane that they haven't simply been used out of existence. I'll never trust doctors again.

If a drug can make it harder to lose weight my changing my metabolism, it means that weight is not just a matter of what you eat. What if because of genetics, I had simply been born with my post-SSRI metabolism? Or an even worse one?

I disagree if the diet changes cellular structure like mine. But outside of that yes it’s pretty cope

It's all bullshit anyway. I'm depressed because I'm an incel dumbasses, not because I have whatever disorder they said I did. That's why you never talk about roping you get taken to the ward and force-medicated with shit that will fuck you up for the rest of your life.

That is true but you’re still in control to take a drug that helps metabolism or muscle gain ? For example thyroid meds or steroids

Never mind roping. I was once tempted to tell my doc I felt like shooting my entire subhuman family :feelskek:

Didn't do it though for basically the reason you mentioned. These clowns are not there to help you.
