Height is pretty much valued so much today because of women, delusional foids that want a guy taller than the tree. Being tall is also more for intimidation, making yourself seem dangerous around other guys.

The type of aura men had in the roman era before height inflation destroyed it all, 5'6 generals crushing entire populations.

Alain Delon who was only 5'9 in the 60s was seen as a God, the most beautiful man ever (confirmed by my grandma), idk other person that could achieve this. Didnt matter back in those years his height.
