I’m 16 years and 8 months old and 178 cm tall. My dad is 170 cm and my mom is 172 cm; my growth plates are open, and my bone age is 16. A couple of weeks ago, I weighed 61–62 kg—which is low for my height. Since then, I’ve started eating more: 2g of protein per kg of body weight and 1,300mg (sometimes more) of calcium. My supplements are: zinc picolinate (22mg), D3 (4,000 IU), K2 (90mcg), Omega-3 (1.8g), creatine (5g—I know it doesn't affect bones, but I take it anyway), magnesium citrate (400mg, though I’ll probably drop to 200mg because 400mg makes me feel sick), glycine (3g), and Vitamin C (900mg). So, I’m up to nearly 64 kg now, but my shoulders, elbows, and back are in excruciating pain; I literally can't sleep lying down—I haven't slept well for four nights in a row. Could this mean something?

That's growth pain ( i think). You went from undereating to actually fueling your body and your plates are open so your bones are growing. Drop magnesium to 200mg since 400 is making you sick. The pain should settle in a week or two, if it gets worse get inflammation markers checked but most likely you're just growing.

Oh my god, I hope it's true—thanks to this news, I'm definitely going to sleep soundly tonight, man.

You will mainly grow during your sleep, rem sleep is when ur body releases the most hgh. Try some balm for the pain and aim for some good rest

This fucking terrible pain—this intensely nagging pain in my shoulders—just torments me at night.

This excruciating pain strikes specifically at night.
That's weird, growing pains are usually dull / throbbing pains in your leg, although since you've drastically changed ur diet I guess it could be possible, if it doesn't settle go see a doctor

look in the mirror and say: gandy gandy come in handy 3x

i grew an inch 1 week later

It’s almost time for me to go to sleep, and for some reason, my knees have started hurting—specifically with a throbbing pain, just like you described.

Ye just give it time, it's possible you're growing which is obviously good, the only way to tell for sure is with measurable results so js see how it goes and keep feeding ur body what it needs
