Keep getting outbreaks daily despite skincare and other things to help prevent it

15 going on 16 so pretty unexpected tbh, also not sure abt taking accutane because of the side effects

Yea, accutane wouldnt be too good at this age t think. There are some threads in the BOTB section. You should check them out.

I actually just take antihistamine medicine sometimes and it helps a lot. I havent seen this being talked at all, but for me it actually helps.

make sure you've got your fundamentals down first. not touching your face, clean pillowcases, not eating crazy amounts of processed sugar, washing your face etc.

if you do that then try a topical. just using skincare wont do much, you need something like benzoyl peroxide, adapalene, etc. if those topical treatments don't work (which in my experience they often times dont if the acne is bad) then go see a doctor and get something oral. it doesn't have to be accutane, it could be oral antibiotics too. but accutane will be the best and i wouldn't worry about the side effects, they arent way worse than any other drug. its safe.
