TL;DR: Im a 16yo with severe dental problems ( huge overbite/deepbite, and narrow palate) my ortho said im fine however im clearly not. What can i do at my dentist checkup to get another check at another ortho or to get any sort of mechanism to fix it.
I am 16, and have a severe overbite ( upper teeth fully cover the bottom) and im also noticing wavy patterns on the sides of my tongue which points towards a slightly too narrow palate. I went to an ortho in january who was a dick took three seconds to look at my teeth, seen i had slight crowding at the bottom and said im okay. I for a fact know i am not okay my jaw is quite recessed and if the ortho took a look at my teeth closed he wouldve seen my overbite/deepbite. I have a standard check up at my dentist in a month, and i really want to do something about my mouth since its currently id say my biggest flaw. What can i di when im at the dentist tk atleast get another ortho check even though the other one said im fine. What can i complain about ?( ive seen some complaing about dry sore throat and stuff) I really think its not too late to do something about my problems, i wouldnt mind going with any appliance a expander, herbst whatever.
