If you drink only cold water your body has to expend energy to heat the cold water up to body temperature, which will burn around 70 KCal on a daily basis, provided you drink about 60+ ounces of water per day.

It's not much but over a longer waterfast you are going to save a non-trivial amount of Calories just by cooling your water before drinking.

Then why has nobody in any of the waterfasting / leanmaxxing guides on here ever spoken about it ever?
You'll always find somebody lacking information and sharing even relatively obvious stuff can still benefit some.
