Hierarchy of Aesthetics and Attractiveness: A Deep Dive

Understanding the factors that contribute to attractiveness is a complex and nuanced task. Here's a breakdown of the factors that play into physical attractiveness, from the ground up.

These things are sorted layer by layer (because hair is on top of your skin, which is on top of your fat, which is on top of your muscles, which is on top of your bones.)

This thread is NOT ranked by importance.

The older (and still good thread can be found here)

1. Bones:
Bones form the underlying framework and foundation of our body, influencing our overall shape, ratios, proportions, height, frame, and posture. Strong, thick, properly developed and well-proportioned bones can contribute to a great appearance, and thin, narrow, and recessed bone structures are undesirable. However, their direct impact on attractiveness is crucial but also often intertwined with other factors like muscle tone and fat distribution. Bone structure, along with cartilage and coloring, dictate phenotype. Everyone's bone structure is different and may (likely) not fit into each one perfectly due to unique genetic lineages, genetic recombination, intermixing, and other factors. It's not black or white, at all.

1703962044576

1703965894446

First one had great oral posture, the other one didn't.

2. Cartilage:
Cartilage is what our lower nose and ears are made out of, and is also what cushions and support the joints, contributing to smooth movement and preventing pain. Proper cartilage shape, positioning, etc. plays an important role in having an attractive appearance.

1703961368775

3. Muscles:
Muscle tone, plumpness, size, strength and distribution significantly impact attractiveness. Toned muscles (facial and bodily) can create a defined, sculpted physique, while very excessive muscle mass, poor muscle mass, or uneven distribution is ugly. It's important to make sure our bodies are muscular and our facial muscles are plump and toned.

1703962114683
1703962164550

4. Fat:
The amount and distribution of body and facial fat influence face shape and body shape. While cultural preferences for body fat percentage vary, generally, lower body fat percentages with healthy fat distribution are often considered more attractive. Fat pads in the face and the body also contribute to sculpting the face and body as long as the fat levels are ideal.

It's important to have an ideal body fat percentage and ideal body fat distribution (which can be enhanced by having very testosterone for men and very high estrogen for women) Men want to have a testosteronic fat distribution while women should strive for an estrogenic fat distribution.

1703962419913
1703962524670

1703962719087

5. Skin:
Healthy, perfectly flawless, clear skin with even tone and texture is often perceived as beautiful. Factors like acne, wrinkles, and blemishes can negatively impact attractiveness.

1703962813620
1703962841179

6. Hair:
Hair plays a significant role in framing the face and enhancing overall appearance. Healthy, thick hair with a great haircut and hairstyle can be a major asset, while hair loss, poor hairline, high hairline or unhealthy hair can detract from attractiveness.

1703962965650
1703962983856

7. Coloring:
Skin tone, skin undertone color, eye color, lip color, hair color and other colors all contribute to an individual's unique appearance. Having an even and radiant skin tone, good skin undertone color, and avoiding hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (especially in the eye area and lips) While preferences vary, certain combinations and contrasts are perceived as more aesthetically pleasing.

1703963119857

1703963171485

8. Fashion:
Clothing choices and personal style can significantly impact how we perceive ourselves and others. Outfits that fit well, have good coloring, good style, accentuate the body shape (for men: broad shoulders, thick forearms, chest, small waist and muscularity, and for women: wide hips, big breasts, small waist, etc.), reveals desirable body parts (for men: chest and arms, and for women: chest, arms and legs), can enhance attractiveness.

1703963222608
1703963276961

9. Fragrance:
A pleasant personal fragrance can leave a positive impression and add an element of sensuality. However, strong or overpowering scents can have the opposite effect. Pheromones are also a huge plus since they're very alluring (of course, you have to be attractive enough). Pheromones are usually secreted at high levels in individuals with high sex hormone levels (high testosterone and testosterone like hormones for men and estrogen and estrogen like hormones for women) and in areas with the most body hair.

1703963489451
1703963474498

10. Anti-Aging:
Once you're completely done looksmaxing, everything from there on is anti-aging and maintenance. Prevent aging as much as possible. Preventing bone loss, cartilage loss, muscle loss, fat pad loss and degradation of ideal fat distribution, degradation of skin quality, degradation of hair, degradation of coloring and general health is absolutely critical to maintaining attractive well into your senior years.

Either they're already in there (muscles, fat, skin) or aren't relevant to aesthetics (tendons, ligaments, blood vessels).

I also put phenotype in bone, if you read that.

Harmony is just ratios and proportions.

Cartilage for sure, since it shapes your nose and ears.

Well it's from the ground up. Fat resides above muscle, not below muscle.

Vitamin K2 MK4, Lots of collagen, exercising, gym, growth hormone maintenance, eating ample fats (haven't really got any info on how to prevent fat pad loss), testosterone maintenance, retinol, hyaluronic acid, eating healthy, exercising, sleeping great, avoiding the sun, certain peptides, and much more.

Anti-aging is a lot but at least I told you the factors that will damage your appearance and advised on preventing their degradation.

It's an edit I believe.
That's the third time I heard the term whitemax/whitemaxer in my 2 years of being in these communities lol.

You can also add D3 and a lot of calcium as well.

what are ur thoughts on getting a face lift and what age should it be done? Outside that and tretinoin is there anything else that can be done to keep skin tightness/prevent wrinkles and sagginess?

Understanding the pathways to collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, retinoic acid, etc. is important.
You can do an electrostimulation face lift and that would be pretty beneficial. You could also just use a microcurrent device as well.

I have a lot of information on electrostimulation and facial muscles in the bottom of the 2nd page and on the 3rd page of this thread.

Only to the aesthetically crippled could muscles be more important than fat, skin, and colouring. @enchanted_elixir is a bloated roidmaxxer confirmed

.
Good post (y)

To add.
Can we leave out the important factors of:
* Race
And
* height?
When it come to physical attractiveness?

Race gets covered a bit, by the factors bones and coloring. I think.
Well height, can be a brutal factor if one is short. And a nice halo point, if tall. And everything in between of that, height doesn't matter much probably
